All About Our Dance Studio

Jackie Creamer's The Dance Studio was founded in 1982. The studio is owned and operated by Jackie Creamer and specializes in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theater.

Our professional staff shares their passion for dance with competitive and recreational students. The studio offers classes to all levels for ages 3 and up. We pride ourselves on the quality of instruction and typically keep our classes between 8 and 12 students so that each individual can receive one-on-one attention. We train each level of dancer to reach their greatest potential, and we firmly believe that this helps all dancers be successful in all aspects of their lives.

Jackie Creamer

Owner/Director

The majority of Jackie Creamer's dance training was received at the Richmond Ballet Company, the Richmond Dance Center, and the Virginia Ballet Company. While in Virginia, Jackie performed in a few productions such as West Side Story where she was 1 of 12 selected out of over 300 auditioning women and was cast as Minnie the Jet. Jackie also danced as Mustardseed Fairy in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Over the years, Jackie has had the opportunity to judge numerous regional and national dance competitions in cities across the country including Palm Springs, Daytona Beach, the Twin Cities, Denver, Dallas, Las Vegas, Chicago, South Pasadena, and more. She has also taught master classes and choreographed competition pieces for competitive studios around the nation.

Jackie has been involved in the Hays community in various ways. She choreographed musicals for Fort Hays State University, Hays High School, and Thomas More Prep-Marian and has coached the FHSU Cheer Team. For 3 years, she choreographed and staged the Nutcracker in conjunction with the Hays Symphony. Later, she aligned with the Hays Arts Council to continue the Nutcracker performance for another 8 years.

She opened Jackie Creamer's The Dance Studio in 1982 and began the competition company, Vision Dance Company, in 1991. Since then, Jackie has been the recipient of numerous choreography awards and national championships. Besides producing technical dancers, Jackie also encourages and builds each student's confidence and poise.
